Juicy Skillet Chicken Breasts

INGREDIENTS:

  • 2 boneless, Born & Raised skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil or butter
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional seasonings: garlic powder, paprika, dried herbs, lemon zest
  • 1/4 cup water, chicken broth, or white wine

INSTRUCTIONS:

  • Pound chicken breasts to even thickness (~1/2 inch). Season both sides with salt, pepper, and any additional seasonings.
  • Heat oil or butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add chicken and sear for 4–5 minutes until golden brown on one side.
  • Flip breasts over. Add 1/4 cup of liquid (water, broth, or wine) to the pan. Immediately cover with a lid. Reduce heat to low.
  • Let the chicken cook, covered, for 8–12 minutes (depending on thickness) until internal temp reaches 165°F (75°C).
  • Remove from skillet and let rest for 5 minutes before slicing.
  • Serve whole or sliced over salads, grains, or pasta.
