Honey Garlic Chicken Thighs
INGREDIENTS:
- 6 bone-in, Born & Raised skin-on chicken thighs
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 3–4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/3 cup honey
- 1/4 cup water or chicken broth
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- Optional garnish: chopped parsley or green onions
INSTRUCTIONS:
- Pat chicken thighs dry with paper towels. Season both sides generously with salt and pepper.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Place chicken thighs skin-side down. Sear for 5–7 minutes until the skin is golden brown. Flip and cook another 5 minutes. Remove chicken and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant (don’t burn it). Add honey, water (or broth), and soy sauce. Stir to combine.
- Return chicken to the skillet. Spoon sauce over the thighs. Lower heat, cover, and simmer for 10–15 minutes or until internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
- Uncover and cook for another 3–5 minutes to reduce and thicken the sauce, basting the chicken with it.
- Garnish with chopped parsley or green onions if desired. Serve over rice or with vegetables.
